Season 1 – The Blinded

All that lies hidden must be found, mysterious untold unseen by the blinded ones.

 

The year was, 1668, and times were getting hard. It was had been three years since Dorian Walker first discovered Nexus, and life was far from easy. After a previous year of jobs and challenges the BrightStar Sovereigns find themselves bereft of a Captain and being assaulted by foreign powers in the political arena. Talyn family interests on the planet appear to be waning as the Highborn fend off the legal suits filed in the Imperial courts via the newly rising Quazar family of Cassus.

In the Algoroc Valley the Malverines don’t fare much better. Leadership chafes as a new band of Officers and Deputies seat the Table once held by hands now given to retirement. Warrants are sent out against the Club as their Saloon is once again stolen from them. Their opponent, a dirty Granok Judge named Gralk Bonebreaker who appears to be on a personal vendetta to destroy the Legacy of BlackSky.

 

The Prologue 

Life after the Gralk situation only got worse in some cases. The Malverines were able to snag a bounty for a woman by the name of Mad Marge. Bella, Vallorin, Korse, Kytex, along with Jane, and Seele made their way toward the location of the bounty. After voting to apply force they took the woman, anda located a data chip on her person. The chip soon revealed the promotion of one OneEye to the rank of Deputy within the Sovereigns. A week or so later, the Malverines held church and voted out one of their own, Grixx, for defying the rules of the Charter.

Meanwhile the Sovereigns raise their ranks, and salute to the Emperor. The Malverines doing the same for their recent crop of Prospects after escorting t he boss to a gathering of local mercs, and criminals at a bar called the Three Swords.

 

Episode 1: Exo-Reaper / Part 1 (7/08/1668)

Seems that the Talyns are up to something, as once again things are getting a bit strange in the Dominion. After losing their original land in Deradune, the Talyns pulled back the Sovereigns to a plot much closer to Illium. Within the last few weeks the Sovereigns have rebuilt much of what they lost. Even though dealing with threats to the Talyn name, the BSIA was able to gain a secretive assignment from the ICI itself, to explore a hidden exo-lab of an Eldan Weaver in northern Deradune. After meeting in Bloodfire village, the small team consisting of prospective agents Zylla, Zukanga, Kleo while under the command of Jack Serpens, and Fahari headed north. During the expedition the team delved into a cave filled with Deathmite monstrosities. After exploring they located a datacube, and had to fight their way out.

Back at the Radiance, the Datacube was activate and revealed the owner to be one Druzrik of the Order of Weavers. The records on the cube soon revealed Druzrik’s growing frustration with the “divine work” on the Nexus Project. Going as far to form an esoteric cross-order society with fellow dissident, Nariel of the Progenitors. Known as the Forefather,s the group sought to work more on the discoveries of science, and innovation the Eldan had pioneered for years before.

Meanwhile, Cathal Reily, boss of the Malverines took new Prospect, Scout, to Whitevale to conduct business in Wiliwali Village. While entering the two encountered reigning leader of the Sovereigns, Abbigail, in the ensuing firefight the woman was killed by Scout herself. Cathal then delivered a teasing statement to the Sovereigns. Zukanga later appeared against orders and retrieved the woman’s body which then according to secretive protocol detonated after alerting the Talyns of their asset’s demise.

 

Episode 2: Exo-Reaper / Part 2 (7/25/1668)

Life is never good for them Malverines. Months after the Motley Incident in Galeras, a contact of the Malverines relays anonymous information about a squad of Mordesh Reapers near district falls. Heading in to locate them present Malverines Durnok, Zeza, Thorstein, Seele along with the Boss encounter a Ravenous outbreak. As civilians rush to the barricades the bikers hold off a few waves of the monstrosities. Finally, as the dust clears the Malverines find themselves surrounded by a pile of bodies. During the chaos the notice a band of black armor clad Mordesh led by a barechest heavily tattooed man. However, as the band of bikers begins to look for the Mordesh fighters, they find nothing. The search would require several more minutes as they follow a line of leaking vitalus to the backwall of the district.

Minutes later the Mordesh appear after freaking young Durnok, and an exchange occurs. Cathal reveals he has contacts, and a favor with the leader of the Strigoi, Vostok Kruschev. While the two bosses confer, Vostok’s second in command, Senya, sets her devilish eyes on poor Seele. Cathal questions the Grim Reaper for a few minutes until the man reveals the existence of a lockbox containing information the Malverines need. The box being located faraway in Sylvan Glade, Celestion, the Malverines ride off. Meanwhile back at the plot it is revealed that Gralk Bonebreaker has arrived along with the deed to the plot.

Riding alogn the way the Malverines rush to gather evidence demanded by Gralk to hold back yet another seizure by the dirty judge. Yet as they reach Sylvan Glade they are quickly pulled into a firefight with two well armed Darkspur Throgg. After the gunfight ends Thorstein evidentially knocks out the one living Throgg, and Durnok joins Cathal in gathering the lock box. The others then remain behind to heal up from shrapnel wounds.  Retrieving the Malverines head home. While resting for a bit in the Saloon Reggie scans the contents. Revealing three facts. One, Gralk is in bed with the Darkspur Cartel; two there are two gangs moving to take turf in the Algoroc, three fact only given to the boss himself to consider for future events.

 

Intermission: Revelations: Acts I , II , III (7/24/1668 to 8/08/1668)

Shadow War strikes the Talyns, as changes come to the BrightStar Sovereigns, and the rest of the Agency.
