Pre-season Intermission 1: Back to the Lodge (Sovereigns!)
Located on a hill on the border of Deradune and just outside Ilium was the Hunting Lodge. Well it wasn't really JUST outside Ilium, more like an hour or so. A place set aside a small town that was filled with Dominion emblems and pictures of great victories. The past week had been interesting to say the least. The aftermath of the train had seen the Talyn in an uproar. All the Sovereigns had been berated for lacking the ability to prevent the Malverines from stealing cargo off the train. Now all the Sovereigns were left to their devices for the past week to get over the failure.

The truth was the Sovereigns were recovering from a recent setback that had dealt a hard blow to their numbers. Around the planetfall they made on Nexus a group of the unit had gone rogue turning a pretty penny for stolen information given to the Darkspur. The ensuing purge left only the most loyal members of the Unit were left. As a result the Talyns had request an increase of troops to reinforce the special status of the Unit.

It was a simple day in the Hunting Lodge. A large room filled with trophies from all over the galaxy covering the walls. On one side was an open dance floor to celebrate made with fine wood supposedly taken from arboria. A smoking lounge sat on the other side with leather back chairs and a small round-table bar outfitted with drinks from all over the galaxy. The ceiling was high and filled with fancy chandeliers at regular intervals. The entire place screamed excess to a degree as smoke wafted from the lounge in partially thick clouds in the rafters.

The entrance to the Lodge was a low hanging dorway frame in more fine wood from Arboria. Made int a slightly ovalish frame the door itself was emblazoned with the sigils of the Great Houses of the Luminai. On the note of the Luminai at as the entrance opens across on the far wall between the smoking lounge to the right and the dance floor to the right was a large shrine dedicated to Emperor Myraculus in all his finery.

Below the picture of Myraculus was a board with the words, "Fallen Brothers" which held the names of those who had died in duty to the Talyn and the Dominion.

ALRIGHT guys lets join in and have fun!

Try to keep it to two posts a day guys!

RE: Pre-season Intermission 1: Back to the Lodge (Sovereigns!)
Velox, who had recently been hired by the Taylns to re-organize the weapons and ammunition (which had been quite disorganized after the rogue unit took its toll on the Sovereigns), walked into the main lodge. He looked around disapprovingly, a gesture accentuated by his outer jaw-tusks slowly flapping in a sinister fashion. The foolish excess shown in the lodge could have been eliminated to save money for more important things... like more guns.

He strides to the center of the main room, and glares at the gathering of Sovereigns.

"It isn't enough that you pathetic sacks of flesh lost the train... ONE of you hasn't returned issued weaponry. If you don't fess up, I will have to start interrogations." says Velox, his green crystals glowing brighter at the thought of violence.

Vermana had arrived at the Sovereign Lodge several hours previously, with no more than a few tertiary greetings and a brief explanation of her role as adjutant and resident researcher and scientist. A very straightforward and efficient introduction, in short. She had been requisitioned by the Talyn and moved from her post; a frontline Dominion base on Nexus, where she was involved in quite a large amount of research, mostly picking apart dead things to determine weak points and effective weapon types. It was quite an enjoyable duty, as she said., though her colleagues were often put off by the.. Personal methods she used in her research.
While the Tayln's had little use for dissecting biologicals, at least during the current cycle, her services as a field Adjutant and combatant were specifically requested after what was described as a 'tactical failure' during the Sovereigns' most recent mission.

The female Mechari was stood in the lobby, hands together by her waist and not involved in much of any socializing when Velox arrived. She did not pay him too much attention other than a quick glance his way, and a curious look to the people he had so quickly berated upon arrival.

Rexana walked into the Lobber of the BrightStar "lodge". She walks perfectly poised and black erect with both hands folded neatly behind her back. She walked as if merely gliding across the floor of the lodge. This was her first day there expecting the place. Word and spread of a huge failure and purge in ranks of the Brightstar and turned ICI interest upon the Unit. Rexana was being assigned to the ranks to keep watch and help out and report back anything of interest to the Military and ICI regarding the going ons of the Unit.

She studied the lobby taking note of the other Female Mechari, and a rather vocal, loud and annoying Mechari "Man" come out and call everyone else meatbags. She watches in silence, only taking not and studying. Rather curious for another Mechari. She thinks silently to herself. The humans in the room didn't seen to budge to respond to him. Hopefully all those men were not ignoring orders directly from the mouth of, maybe, a superior? Or in any case Rexana probably would ignore the man too.

Rexana face pieces ((I dont know what they are called)) twitch and hiss very lightly.

Thali Gonrinsun, it was always something that reminded him of a creature shedding it's skin when he stepped between the two factions so violently opposed to each other. That said there with the risks did come of the benefits, one of which was the locations of whose landmines are where in both literal and sociologically. Donning his Dominion-based power armor, his helmet covering his 'other' face and taking up a breath briefly to steady himself, he made his way to the lodge.

The information had been good about the lack of hands to being needed by "The Unit" that seemed to reside here. He did make sure to check the vehicle he drove over here in was under good cover from a random bombardment, then stepped up to the door. He was about to pass in, hearing the mechari, and resisted an internal groan. Well, it was a part of the job, and the Granok's could be just as bad. Hearing the topic at least, he stayed outside for the moment as to not be included as some sort of conscript.

The holographic projection of Nymphadora had been tearing into Samuel for the last hour, he was still diligently stood at attention hands behind his back with standing the cascade of outrage. As the last remaining officer of the unit he was the one to bare the brunt of the fallout and get the wonderful chance to bask in the glaring gaze that was Lady Tayln.

Yes my lady. No my lady. As you order my lady. Yes confirmed dead, all of them my lady.

These words dripped of his tongue with frequency under the assault of the Lady of the House and the ultimate authority of the unit. They served the Dominion but she had early on in their 'professional relationship' laid out the fact that in no uncertain terms that she owned his ass. Not half a fun as you might expect he had mused but one couldn't have everything in this galaxy. He stood firm, jaw set and cutting a rather dashing presence in his officer’s attire. His jacket was that of the standard Dominion cavalry, a rich crimson, high collared and double breasted with his officer’s pips and stripes upon his chest amongst the assorted golden insignia embellished buttons. His trousers were tight and a black and were cut for riding, his boots were calf high heeled riding boots of hard leather with silvery spurs. At his waist hung his large holster, the unchecked in weapon, a long barrelled full automatic pistol with a extended magazine with a silencer attachment that was tucked away in a pouch at his belt. Alongside this dangled his mono-edge alloy sabre, newly acquainted to the stalker program he was growing bold with this weapon, usually reserved for a dress uniform affair. He cleared his throat and adjusted a blonde lock of hair as Lady Talyn turned as he ranted and raged. She had now moved onto the state of the unit, that they needed reform and change. She had already sent two Mechari as acting Arms master and sectary, he frowned she wasn't sure why she was beefing him on all this.

"With all due respect My Lady this whole thing was the responsibility of our Captain. This...isn't my problem, I'm just your grunt..." he ventured in frustration and keeping his sapphire blue gaze forward towards the leering hologram. Their was a eerie silence for a moment, perhaps he had stepped out of line? Then Nymphadora did something Samuel dreaded. She smiled. "Well its your problem now CAPTAIN! FIX THIS MESS!" she cut the transmission leaving Samuel dumb struck. Had she just promoted him?! Shit. He signed and leant over the projector mulling over the current set of affairs. The unit had suffered their was no denying that, the traitors have been dealt with though they had one last prisoner. Maybe a execution would improve Nymphadora's mood while he dealt with this. He ran slender hands through his hair, they needed to consolidate. He needed to know what they unit had, what they needed then they could start work on the whole Malverine mess. Standing tall he adjusted his attire and strolled out the comms room the as strolled towards the main part of the hunting lodge. He raised a brow as he entered the lounge noting the handful of his Cassian loyal compatriots and the two Mechari. His automated HUD automatically registered faces and even locked onto the Mechari already brining up the brief notes from House Talyn. His new seconds?

"All right listen up!" he barks as he strides towards the round bar. "As of five minutes ago I am now the acting Captain of the Sovereign Rough Riders, by orders of Lady Tayln...so..." with jolt of movement he launched himself onto the bar and spins about to address the room. "CAPTAIN ON DECK! ATTENTION!" he shouts sending the six humans scrambling to attention, they quickly set up in for exception. He waited a moment to see how the Mechari would react before he would make his announcements and relay his orders. He stood strong, one hand resting on the hilt of his sabre and the unchecked weapon Volex had spoken at his hip.

RE: Pre-season Intermission 1: Back to the Lodge (Sovereigns!)
The air of the bar was relaxed, and dull. Rexana stood casually erect (Which might look not so casually for others in the room.) with hands still folded neatly behind her back. They had bought a bar and lodge? Then men were drinking and merrymaking. She supposes it is alright, the organics int he room would need to calm down and unwind after such a failure they had perpetrated.

When Samuel came into the room, Rexana examined the 'Captain' jumping on top of a bar, of all things, to try and demand authority. Curious. She thought. Never before had she seen a commanding officer have to jump on top of a bar like a hooligan to demand authority of his or her troops. She watches him dully, and examines the others with calculated stares. She stands there as she has been, shoulders erect and hands folding behind her back, at ease. Her mandibles twitch ever so slightly in a passive manner, but she made no moves to fall in like the other men for this show at the bar. She remains standing nearby listening.

The sudden 'thump' on the bar counter caused a mild curiousity as he pulled up a datapad, then turning off the screen. The reflective surface now became a secondary mirror, looking up to make sure it was cloudy. He looked at the man demanding the attention of the group, then who was there idly. At least it seems I won't be the only person not a Mechanized and not a grunt. But as he recalled that particular fiasco, and happy he hadn't signed on, recalled the recent lack of COs. Well, seems someone wanted a scapegoat. He slipped in afterwards, but stayed by the door.

Velox looked away from the other Sovereigns to both acknowledge his Mechari brethren and to glare at Samuel as he jumped on top of the Bar. It didn't take long for him to see the weapon that Samuel was toting.

"Captain? Since when?" Says Velox, quick to question Sam's newfound authority. His chrome plating flashed in the light as he turned. He would have to address the matter of Samuel's weapon AFTER he addressed Samuel's new authority. His green crystals focused their glow on Velox' eyes, giving him quite a sinister aura, if the other characters where susceptible to that.

RE: Pre-season Intermission 1: Back to the Lodge (Sovereigns!)
The third Mechari arrival was not so quick to snap to attention, in fact she did not do so at all, considering she'd never had any need to. There was hardly any need for a tactical adviser to salute her charge with the rest of the soldiers. Vermana noted the Cassian's rather odd mounting of the bar as well, logging it away as she often did whenever she came across.. 'Illogical' biological behavior. She locked her sharpened fingers behind her back and additionally quivered her pincers, observing the scene with an unusual level of curiosity; at least by human standards.

At least, she did until the male Mechari next to her turned his attention to their Captain, clearly challenging his authority, which was far from what she considered standard procedure. She snapped a glare his way, maintaining her composure as she did.
"..It is not currently prudent to challenge the chain of command. This company is already in relative disarray."
