Ember Jax
Out-of-Character
Main Character Name / Primary Alt Name: Ember Jax
Enjin / WildStar Central Username: Ember (Enjin)
IM Contacts: Will provide following acceptance or otherwise. Am open to skype contact.
What is your primary region / timezone and playtimes? I am located within the PST time zone and I currently play anywhere from afternoons to late nights. (12pm-5am)
Are you eighteen or older? I am currently twenty five years of age.

Did you read and do you agree to abide by our Rules and Policy? I do.

What are your primary playstyles? I am very interested in a wide variety of gaming styles, though my central focus lies primarily in RP. I wouldn't consider myself hardcore exactly, but I do take character development pretty seriously, within reason. I also tend to dabble in a wide array of other activities such as PvE, PvP, RP-Pvp, exploration, dungeons and raids while also milling around to hang out with friends and get to know people. I do not pay particular attention to crafting but I'm always open to helping others farm the required materials, or to help them in dungeons and other tasks.

What is your roleplaying experience? I have been role playing for quite some time now, though my first excursion into MMO based RP began around 8 years ago in WoW. I have been heavily involved in various RP storylines in the game since then. I also tried my hand at RP in an assortment of other MMOs such as Lord of the Rings Online, Aion, Star Wars: The Old Republic Online and Tera. I dabble in a wide array of styles from simple, to paragraph, cooperative storyline and forum RP. I am still very involved in RP and various RP guilds in WoW, thus I continue to tune my storylines and talents.

What do you hope to gain from and contribute to the BlackSky as a Player? I believe I can contribute another friendly soul to the Blacksky community. I am easy to get along with, friendly and helpful and I maintain an open mind and patience in order to better the community and assist others. As for what to gain, a welcoming community that will not only provide fantastic roleplay opportunities but friendships as well.

Would you like to join our guild Skype group? I would certainly be open to that.

Would you like to be on our mailing list for updates about the guild? Absolutely.

Are you a member of any additional guilds? In regards to Wildstar, no I am not but I can provide a list of current guilds for WoW if it is necessary.

Where did you find out about the BlackSky? I learned about it a month or so ago on the Wildstar Roleplay forums, though at the time the guild was only being developed for the Exiles faction, upon learning that a Dominion based guild was in the works as well I had to jump on the opportunity to apply!

Any additional characters if so what Faction would they be in? I have no additional characters in development at this time.

Any additional thoughts? I absolutely love the storyline that has been developed for this guild, the history is very inspiring.

In-Character Questions

What is your character’s race, gender, class, path?
Race: Cassian
Gender: Female
Class: Stalker
Path: Scientist (Though debating explorer)

Please describe your character appearance:
Of anything this girl was confident, if not obnoxiously so. From the way she moved, in a casual sashay to the ever present smirk that graced her lips with every snide comment. True to her name there was a fire about her, not only in spirit and temper but in appearances as well.

A youth in her prime, Ember maintained a lithe figure, slender and small in frame and stature she barely challenges those of her kin. While lean she does not appear overly strong instead she seems almost frail. Despite this fact she walks with an air of confidence, her steps well placed and silent.

True to her nature and the very root of her namesake, Ember's hair is a brilliant shock of red, vibrant and well kept with the odd ties and braids here or there. She fancies keeping it long unless she finds herself confined to traversing unknown or difficult territory, in which case she will tie it up and out of the way. Her eyes remained a window into her fierce personality, a startling verdant green enshrouded by long lashes.

Ember has a particular fondness for practical fashion, or so she calls it. Every article of clothing she wears is tailored to her form, accentuating her assets while maintaining usefulness in the field. While visually appealing her attire is outfitted with an array of tech, allowing her easy access to her blades and functionality with enhancements. These garments are often expressed in a palette that further enhances her appearance, varying from shades of red and orange to black. The clothing appears tomboyish in nature, preferring well fitted pants and jackets, with functional pockets and the like.

Please describe your character's personality:
Ember was a spitfire of a girl, always ready and willing to speak her mind. Blunt and sarcastic more often than not she does not seem to pay any amount of attention to the needs or concerns of others, focused only on her own matters and purpose. On the other side of the coin she tends to have a mean temper, if the right buttons are pushed she'll lean towards shooting first and asking questions later.

Please describe three strengths and three weaknesses about your character:
From a young age Ember had a certain knack with designing and developing tech. Partially influenced by her Mechari companion she began to create the odd useful mechanisms and as she grew eventually she began to invest her time in weapons technology. In regards to weaknesses, she is not overly strong needing to rely instead on subtlety and subterfuge. She also presents some weakness to alcohol, having very little tolerance.

The following may also be considered strengths and weaknesses:
Insecurities:
- Ember is certainly insecure about public speaking, with little to no opportunity or need to do so. If she had to she would blush severely and end up speaking faster than normal.
- She has reservations about making new acquaintances, she feels that she does not necessarily need socialization to survive.
- She is also fairly uneasy about being criticised, she takes criticism very hard and would often lash out in response.

Confidences:
- She is very confident in her ability to produce next-gen tech that surpasses some of the latest models.
- She can be quite cocky and confident about her own talents in using her designs in combat.
- She is confident that she can understand and figure out any piece of technology thrown her way.

What Faction would your character is your character joining? The Dominion

Why would your character wish to join a either the Sovereigns or Maverinesb? The Sovereigns.

What kind of long term plotting, or character development plans do you have? Ember is a fresh face in society, young and intuitive with a talent for weapons design, hacking and hand to hand combat and subterfuge. Her development is pretty open at this point in time, the only desires she really has is to be able to finance her own designs and provide weapons for the Unit and the Dominion.

This may also contribute to the various potential developments in mind:
Short term:

- Ember wishes more than anything to be able to sell her designs, to provide weapons for the Dominion. At this time she only makes proto-types with little to no opportunity to present them, her family believing that perhaps this stint in tinkering is just a phase.
- She desires to be sent to planet Nexus in order to research the life forms and technology inherent on its surface, and in the planet's history.
- She wants to help her Mechari companion learn more about their origins and about the Eldan

Long Term:

- First and foremost she wishes to attain some notoriety, to be recognized as a talented individual with a purpose.
- She also wishes to acquire enough recognition to start her own company or shop, where she can develop weapons and other technologies for the Dominion.
- Once all of her assets are in order she would love nothing more than to save up her funds in order to purchase or build her own hoverbike.... preferably to build her own.

Where would your character fit into the Club or Unit as a prospect? She could fit into a variety of positions from an engineer or hacker, weapons specialist to an agent in training.

How did you learn of, or encounter the Club or Unit? I am very open to the possibilities of her coming across the Unit, through word from various clubs or military bases, to having her family be involved somehow as that portion of her history could use some interesting development. Currently her family is only known as a military line that lives from one military base to the next, boasting some well decorated Generals throughout their history.

Do you mind the adult / violent nature of our Rp? I am very open to and enjoy a wide variety of RP content and I am not adverse to the darker storylines, infact I tend to prefer them.

If you leave the club the club are willing to deal with consequences? If I have practiced unacceptable conduct I understand completely that action must be taken.

(Examples: Leave well you get respected as a former brother and longtime friend! Leave badly we'll hunt you down! You'll get beat up etc.)

1. So you are okay with our violent and sometimes graphic nature?
Absolutely, when it comes to building storylines such content brings in a sense of realism, and also adds such depth to character development.

2. What did you like the most about our lore / OOC policy?
In regards to the lore, it was very indepth without feeling like it was exclusive. The story pulls you in and inspires you to root for both sides of the coin.

There are a number of the OOC policies and progression that I enjoy, such as the development of badges. Also the format of them, it was clear and concise and provides a formidable structure to work within.

RE: Ember Jax
1. So what do you think of the two factions?
Assuming you mean the Exiles and the Dominion, I love the concepts behind the two factions. They are so colorful and inventive and inspiring. I read the details behind the Dominion and watched the video and I was immediately hooked, I had to make a character under their umbrella.

2. What should a guild leader bring to the table?
A guild leader should maintain an understanding that a guild takes work, confidence and a willingness to aid others and maintain a friendly disposition without forsaking structure. A guild leader should be able to provide an environment that is welcoming and allows its members to flourish.

3. What should a member bring to the table?
A member should bring within them an open mind, camaraderie and a sense of respect. They should maintain a willingness to assist others and to contribute to the success of the guild. They should also keep in mind that members provide the bulk of a guild and that they should not expect the officer core to provide all of their entertainment, a guild is comprised of people working together to build a storyline not expecting a storyline to be made for them. You have to be ready and willing to put yourself out there, not forcing others to coax you out of your shell.

RE: Ember Jax

Of course! The concept behind both the Sovs and Mavs is very compelling, there is a lot of potential for development between the two factions and even from within each. They are both so similar and yet so different, providing a multitude of ways for people to find their own niche.

1. So what do you think of our Seasonal Story concepts?
I think this is a fantastic way to further a guild storyline. Some guilds find themselves at a standstill when it comes to progression without quite knowing how to push the guild further, these guilds are often those without a firm background and without a long term goal or direction. With seasonal concepts it provides members with an opportunity to become deeply involved with their guild and help push it to new heights.

2. What are your thought son our Expanded Lore?
The expanded lore of the fued was certainly one of the things that drew me in for this guild, it was a brilliant overview of the history of the two factions and gave a great amount of flavour and what a member might be able to expect while being involved in the guild.

Good responses Big Grin

1. Why don't you tell me about the kind of stories you wanna see?

2. Are you okay with a slight level of wackiness in the stories mixed up with dark drama, and ridiculous humor?

RE: Ember Jax
1. Why don't you tell me about the kind of stories you wanna see?
I'm open to tons of different kinds of stories from those of discovery to those of assassination and subterfuge, as long as it suits the guild direction and something the guild would actually pursue I would have no qualms with anything. I've always adored tales similar to that of Game of Thrones, where you have your various plots and surprises.

2. Are you okay with a slight level of wackiness in the stories mixed up with dark drama, and ridiculous humor?
Absolutely! Stories can't only contain darkness and murder or else it will become too mundane, you need to mix things up once in while. We need to see development akin to that of real life, not every day is filled with darkness but joy and humour and all the things in between.

RE: Ember Jax
Okay final question.

1. We want to capture a sense of camaraderie along with brotherhood. That feeling you get during a night of DND or Tabletop and things are serious, but jokes can be heard! Where gaming and friends are at the top and Rp flows naturally from our collective story.

What do you feel about this notion?
